This week, I found myself in the Land of 10,000 Lakes – well, more like 20,000 lakes due to all the rain. The fields of Minnesota are saturated. While there’s no stopping Mother Nature, there are ways to work around her madness. Since we couldn’t get in the field this week, we stayed busy by delivering, stickering, and setting up field signs.
My first stop was to New Ulm, Minnesota where I met District Sales Manager Dan Olson. We visited one of his dealer’s sheds and kept out of the rain by getting signs delivered and seed return logistics sorted out.
From there, I headed to Randolph, Minnesota. Fellow intern Luke Dubbels was a fantastic Minnesota tour-guide as we drove across the rainy countryside. Finding a dry place to work in Dave Heims’ shed, we learned the best way to sticker plot signs, attach them to stakes, and set them up in a perfectly straight line.
District Sales Manager Pete Wingert was also a pleasure to meet, and the three of us learned together how to submit the completed field signage on the Fulcrum app.
While the weather may have been less than ideal, I truly enjoyed the chance to see our most effective form of marketing at the ground level. The new LG Seeds field signs look so sharp standing proudly in a row!
I cannot wait to continue my Midwestern adventure and see many more field signs across the countryside. These signs are one of the best ways to show the industry the new face of LG Seeds. They are a symbol of our commitment to #DoMoreTogether!
